Big Bike Ride 22nd August

In 2021, it was a delight to be able to run our 9th Big Bike Ride event on 22nd August.  In spite of a dismal weather forecast there was no rain and over 360 riders took to their bikes to enjoy a choice of 4 routes.  New to this year was a “welcome home” for the riders as they crossed our inflatable arch finishing line.

Charlotte Nunn (Town Mayor’s daughter) offered free sports massages to the weary, while Neil Green our main sponsor provided a Hog Roast and we were treated to music from the Hatstand Band.

Our grateful thanks—once again—to Heather Craven for allowing us to use her lovely garden, and of course to our wonderful members, and friends, who made the event yet another success for Rotary and the charities we support. Enjoy the photographs which cover cyclists from 2½ to 80.
